We had an inspirational message yesterday. Remarkable, especially considering the fact it was translated (an excellent translator as well).
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Where do I take God’s image? What do I do with God’s body? How do I dress God’s image? When I look at myself in the mirror, do I want to bring God glory, or glory to myself? My neighbor is an image of God as well, I must treat him as one. I shouldn’t look down on the image of God. The devil likes it when I look down on other images of God.

It’s a distinct desk around me. Pathway Readers line the top of the desk, like a row of dominoes, half fallen. My laptop sits before me, cluttered with a weeks worth of lesson plans. There are four stacks of flash cards, sitting orderly on my desk, three of these have pictures and look exciting, while the fourth gives the feeling to the words, “definitely sharpied”. -random description of my desk
The weekend was great, though the second part was hardly relaxing. I played vball all three nights of the weekend, for at least 2hrs a piece. Stressful, huh? The interesting part was that all three nights was a different set of kids. Friday night was teachers and evening class youth people, plus one sibling. Saturday night was teachers plus a few youth plus wedding people (spanish lookout people, uncles, aunts). Sunday night was youth, plus me (and Jodie some of the time). First two nights the prominent language was english, progressively getting more german, and the third night was basically strait german.
Now, I’m trying to get my students to write for our program on Sunday night. Promises to be uniquely difficult.
Mexicans around here have a difficult life. “You get used to hanging too, if you did it long enough.” (complements of Jodie’s grandpa). Most anything centers around the circles around here. The Mexicans work roughly 12 hour days, 5 days a week, hoeing weeds. They drive in from about 1 hour away and camp out in the middle of the pivot. They bring most of their own food along with them.

Also, there’s tons of crop dusters around.
